Adventures of Potty Trainging

Today was day 1 of take two of potty training. This time I decided to document it all, and if something sticks maybe it'll help some other desparate mother who feels like pulling her hair out thanks to this little mile stone know as potty training. I love how every mile stone your child has you want to savor it. You want time to freeze completly for their first time they sit up on their own, first steps, first laugh, first words... And then there's potty training. Like all other mile stones every child is different. Very different.

First I made Emma a potty chart that looks like this:

(all the star stickers on the top are from our first attempt at using the potty)

First time around we only used stickers. Stars for pee, Princesses for poop, and puffy Tinkerbell for no accidents.

Just today I added candy corn as a treat. One for pee and Two for poop.

Well today we ended up having three accidents. She was doing really good, and was accident free until about 2:30 pm. She got a princess sticker for the first time ever today for #2. I did a happy mom dance with her, congratulated her, gave her two pieces of candy corn, and a sticker. She was so excited. I was a fool to think this time around was going to be a cake walk. Why oh why did I think this?

--Day 2--

Not much better. She kept her panties dry all morning while we in the car and grocery store, but when we got home it was just accident after accident. I had her on the potty a lot, but nothing ever came of it. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day.
