Dumbass Neurologist

So I went to a new neurologist today because I've had it with mine, and found out my old one isn't even allowed to work in Floyd Memorial Hospital anymore (kinda scary when you try to think of what the hell he did to get that to happen!).

So I walk in and no one else in the waiting room, the waiting room is about the size of small public bathroom. Even though I was the only one there he left the office after I saw he was just standing around and my grandma and I just sat there he finally came back in, but even after he came back in he still made us wait. When he did call us back he basically ordered my 76 year old grandma to mimic what my seizures look like?! Seriously?! He wanted my 76 year old grandma who isn't in good shape to flail around like she was having one of my seizures!!!!!

When we asked for a MRI he said no because I had one about 3 years ago, which I do not remember, and there's no way that's true because at that time I didn't have health insurance and there's no way my grandma paid out of pocket for me to have a MRI! I argued that something  might be there now that wasn't there 3 years ago in this "MRI". Three years ago yes I was having seizures, but 3 years ago I wasn't:

  • Twitching
  • Random numbness
  • Eye & Face twitches
  • Double vision
  • My vision is just plain worse
  • And I fall down WAY to much
So I need to find a doctor that isn't a dumbass & will actually HELP me!

Don't Judge

Hard to explain to someone who has no clue. It's a daily struggle being in pain or feeling sick on the inside while you look fine on the outside. Please put this as your status for at least 1 hour if you or someone you know has an invisible illness (PTSD, Anxiety, Bipolar, Depression, Diabetes, LUPUS, Fibromyalgia,TM, MS, ME, HS, Chronic Fatigue, Arthritis, Celiac, Cancer, Heart Disease, Epilepsy, Autism,M.D. etc.) "Never judge what you don't understand".

I have dealt with seizures for 3 years and depression since I was 13. It's not an easy road, but when you have a great support system like I do it makes this life easier. They've labeled my seizures as stress seizures for this entire time. I've had a 3 day EEG, & a team of doctors and all they could come up with was stress seizures. The last time I saw my neurologist he just said, "Well, I've never seen an old person with stress seizures so you'll eventually grow out of them." I see a new neurologist next Tuesday to hopefully get some more answers. Wish me luck!
